VR is the hardest section for students, especially if they have a background in science. Rather than just going through sections, we focus on reading ability - how to improve your attention, focus and speed, and make inferences from the given text.

As the most varied section of the test, we help students understand the best strategies for each question type, and try to help students get to grips with the basis of the questions - by teaching logic, reasoning, and fallacies.

The students who do the best in the QR section are those who have exceptional mental maths abilities, so this is our focus, practising mental maths, eyeballing strategies, and estimations, as well as covering all the maths concepts.

By using real life scenarios, guidance from Good Medical Practice, and extensive knowledge on the SJT section, we are able to help students understand what professional behaviour is expected by the UCAT, as all our tutors have achieved Band 1.

There are many techniques and strategies that students can be employing to increase their scores. We have extensive knowledge of all the useful and less useful strategies and will work with students to find what works best for them.

Overall through our teaching, we always focus on timing, techniques for speed, and strategies to make sure you score the best you can do, because we fully understand how the UCAT is marked and what you have to do to achieve a top score.
